Dana began her training at the age of three. She has studied under various studios, teachers and choreographers including: General Hambrick, Joe Tremaine (California), Betsy Haug (New York), Dian West, Li-Chou Chen and Stephanie Rand (TCU). She has appeared in many commercials, industrials and films such as Pepsi, Sonic, Long John Silvers, Radio Shack, 7-11, Pannil Sweats, Boy Scouts of America, Houston Post News, JC Penney and Oliver Stone’s, Born On the Fourth Of July, with Tom Cruise and Kyra Sedgwick. She graduated from Texas Christian University – Cum Laude with a major in Radio Television and Film Production and a minor in Dance and Religion. She is a member of the Northeast Tarrant Arts Council, the Dallas Dance Council and ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). She began teaching in 1986 in the Metroplex. She is the choreographer and Artistic Director of the DSOD dance companies who have won national recognition and awards in many competitions. Many of her dancers have gone on to do the following: principal dancer with the Orlando Ballet, tour with a professional production of CATS, dance and choreograph for Barney & Friends, choreograph for the world famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, appear in the Jessica Simpson video These Boots Are Made For Walkin’, and dance for Carrie Underwood and the Ying Yang Twins, to name a few things. Dana continues to stay current with dance technique by traveling to various national conventions and workshops. In 2006, she was proud to announce the opening of DSOD2 in Keller. Dana is the current Artistic Director for DFW Performing Arts Conservatory.
